Initially, you simply plug it in and start rocking, but its many great sounds will have you playing with it

for years to come. From bluesy crunch to hi-gain, but always very musical distortion sounds, this pedal

was designed for the guitarists who like things a bit (or extremely) dirty. Featuring an all-analog circuit,

dual-band tone controls, level and drive knobs and a voicing switch to tweak both bass response and

distortion, you are set from creamy leads over riff-heavy stadium rock to modern angst-ridden grunge.

Batteries must never be heated, taken apart or thrown into fire or water. Only rechargeable

batteries can be recharged. Remove the battery when the pedal is not being used for a longer

BASS & TREBLE

Bass/treblecontrols.Addbassformorepunchorrolloffabitforatightersoundonbigcabinets.Add

treble to cut through a dense mix or reduce to aim for a softer tone.

Gain

Controls the amount of gain.

Lower settings give tight distortion for rhythm parts. Higher settings are ideal for singing leads.

LEVEL

Sets the overall level.

Voice Type selector

TwoVoicetypesareavailable.Withtheswitchin“up”position,thefrequencyresponseistruetothe

inputsignal.Withtheswitchin“down”position,thelow-endfrequenciesarenaturallyboosted.Thisis

excellent where the guitar is allowed to take up a great portion of the sonic spectrum, – e.g. for rhythm

guitar in a trio.

Connecting

Input jack – 1/4 inch mono jack input.

If you run the pedal on battery, we recommend removing the

input jack to preserve battery power when you don’t play.

Output jack – 1/4 inch mono jack output for connecting to

another pedal or directly into an amp or mixer.

The Controls

Bass/treble controls. Add bass for more punch or roll off a bit for a tighter sound on big cabinets. Add

treble to cut through a dense mix or reduce to aim for a softer tone.

Gain

Controls the amount of gain.

Lower settings give tight distortion for rhythm parts. Higher settings are ideal for singing leads.

LEVEL

Sets the overall level.

Voice Type selector

Two Voice types are available. With the switch in «up» position, the frequency response is true to the

input signal. With the switch in «down» position, the low-end frequencies are naturally boosted. This is

excellent where the guitar is allowed to take up a great portion of the sonic spectrum, – e.g. for rhythm

guitar in a trio.

Changing battery – Unscrew the thumb-screw on the back of the pedal and detach the back-plate.

Unmount the old battery and attach the new battery to the battery clip making sure the polarity is

correct. Then remount the back-plate. To save battery life, remove the input jack when you don’t play.

Controles de graves y agudos. Añada graves para una mayor pegada o redúzcalos un poco para un

sonido más compacto en los grandes recintos acústicos. Añada agudos para un sonido más cortante

Selector Voicing

Dispone de dos tipos de ajuste de voz distintos. Cuando el interruptor esté en la posición de «arriba», la respuesta

This pedal defines instant gratification and will become the go-to distortion pedal on your board.
Initially, you simply plug it in and start rocking, but its many great sounds will have you playing with it
for years to come. From bluesy crunch to hi-gain, but always very musical distortion sounds, this pedal
was designed for the guitarists who like things a bit (or extremely) dirty. Featuring an all-analog circuit,
dual-band tone controls, level and drive knobs and a voicing switch to tweak both bass response and
distortion, you are set from creamy leads over riff-heavy stadium rock to modern angst-ridden grunge.

Changing battery – Unscrew the thumb-screw on the back of the pedal and detach the back-plate.
Unmount the old battery and attach the new battery to the battery clip making sure the polarity is
correct. Then remount the back-plate. To save battery life, remove the input jack when you don’t play.
Batteries must never be heated, taken apart or thrown into fire or water. Only rechargeable
batteries can be recharged. Remove the battery when the pedal is not being used for a longer
period of time. Dispose batteries according to local laws and regulations.
The Controls
BASS & TREBLE
Bass/treble controls. Add bass for more punch or roll off a bit for a tighter sound on big cabinets. Add
treble to cut through a dense mix or reduce to aim for a softer tone.

Gain
Controls the amount of gain.
Lower settings give tight distortion for rhythm parts. Higher settings are ideal for singing leads.
LEVEL
Sets the overall level.
Voice Type selector
Two Voice types are available. With the switch in “up” position, the frequency response is true to the
input signal. With the switch in “down” position, the low-end frequencies are naturally boosted. This is
excellent where the guitar is allowed to take up a great portion of the sonic spectrum, – e.g. for rhythm
guitar in a trio.

Congratulazioni! Sei appena entrato in possesso di un pedale distorsore che personifica il rock
e rappresenta tutto il buono che c’è nel suono distorto. Dark Matter saprà ispirare i tuoi riff, i
lick e gli assoli per molti anni a venire.
Questo pedale restituisce una gratificazione istantanea e costituirà il distorsore definitivo per la tua
pedaliera. All’inizio ti limiterai a collegare il pedale ed iniziare a rockeggiare, ma le sue diverse sonorità
sapranno accompagnarti per sempre. Dai suoni bluesy-crunch agli effetti high-gain, ma sempre con
una distorsione davvero musicale: questo pedale è stato progettato per i chitarristi che amano le cose
leggermente (o estremamente) sporche. Dotato di un circuito interamente analogico, controlli di tono
dual-band, manopole Level e Drive ed un selettore Voice utile per ottimizzare la risposta delle basse

Cambiare la batteria – Svita la vite presente sul pannello inferiore per distaccarlo dal pedale. Smonta
la batteria esausta e collegane una nuova nell’apposita clip, prestando attenzione alla polarità. Quindi,
ricolloca la batteria e applica nuovamente il pannello al pedale. Per prolungare la durata delle batterie,
rimuovi il cavo jack dall’ingresso del pedale nei momenti di non utilizzo.
Per nessun motivo le batterie devono essere riscaldate, smontate, gettate nell’acqua o nel fuoco.
Solo le batterie di tipo ricaricabile possono essere ricaricate. Rimuovere la batteria in caso di
lunghi periodi di non utilizzo del pedale. Lo smaltimento delle batterie esauste deve essere
eseguito in base alle leggi e alle regolamentazioni locali.
I controlli
BASS e TREBLE
Controlli Bassi/Alti. Aumenta il livello del controllo Bass per ottenere maggiore incisività, oppure
diminuisci per alleggerire il segnale e generare un suono più ristretto in presenza di cabinet di grandi
dimensioni. Aumenta il livello del controllo Treble rendere più evidente il segnale all’interno di un denso
mix, oppure diminuisci per un suono più soft.
DISTORTION
Manopola che regola la quantità di distorsione.
Con valori moderati si ottiene una distorsione adatta alle parti ritmiche, mentre l’uso di livelli
elevati è più indicato per le parti solistiche.
LEVEL
Controllo che imposta il livello generale.
Selettore Voice Type
Sono disponibili due tipi di Voice. In posizione “up” (selettore rivolto verso l’alto) la risposta in frequenza
sarà fedele a quella del segnale in ingresso. In posizione “down” (selettore rivolto verso il basso) si
intensificano in modo naturale le basse frequenze — un’eccellente impostazione nei casi in cui la chitarra
debba occupare una porzione predominante dello spettro sonoro (ad esempio, la chitarra ritmica in un trio).

Ingresso — Connettore d’ingresso mono (jack da 1/4”).
Operando con l’alimentazione da batteria consigliamo di
rimuovere il connettore dall’ingresso durante le pause, così
da preservarne la durata.
Uscita — Connettore d’uscita mono (jack da 1/4”) da
collegare ad un altro pedale, oppure direttamente all’unità
amp o ad un mixer.

Cette pédale est instantanément gratifiante et sera la distorsion incontournable de votre pédalier. U
début, vous la brancherez et simplement jouerez du rock, mais ses nombreux et excellents sons vous
pousseront à l’utiliser pendant des années. D’un son crunch bluesy au Hi-gain, tout en conservant une
distorsion très musicale, cette pédale a été conçue pour les guitaristes qui aiment un son un peu (ou
extrêmement) “ sale “. Avec une pédale embarquant un circuit entièrement analogique, un contrôle de
tonalité deux bandes, un bouton de niveau et de drive et un interrupteur de “ voicing “ permettant de
commuter la réponse en basse et la distortion, vous êtes prêts pour les solos gras, les riffs lourds du

Remplacement de la pile – Dévissez la vis sur l’arrière de la pédale et détachez le capot. Retirez
la pile usagée et branchez la nouvelle au bornier en vous assurant que la polarité est correcte. Puis
remontez le capot arrière. Pour préserver la pile, débranchez le jack en entrée lorsque vous ne jouez
pas.
Les piles ne doivent jamais être chauffées, démontées ou jetées dans le feu ou l’eau. Seules les
piles rechargeables peuvent être rechargées. Retirez la pile si la pédale ne doit pas servir
pendant une longue durée. Jetez les piles en accord avec les lois et règlements locaux.
Les contrôles
BASS & TREBLE
Contrôles des graves/aigües. Ajoutez des graves pour plus de punch ou diminuez les pour un son plus
compact sur des grands baffles. Ajouter des aigües pour passer dans un mix dense ou réduisez les
pour obtenir un son plus doux.
Distortion
Contrôle la quantité de distorsion.
Un réglage réduit donne une distortion serrée pour les parties rythmiques. un réglage élevé
est idéal pour les solos chantants.
LEVEL
Règle le niveau général.
Sélecteur Voice
Deux types de “Voice” sont disponibles. Avec le switch en position supérieure, la réponse en
fréquence est fidèle au signal en entrée. Avec le switch en position “basse”, les fréquences basses
sont amplifiées naturellement. Ce son est parfait si la guitare doit prendre un large portion du spectre
sonore , par exemple pour une guitare rythmique dans un trio.
